Destination Riga

Last Friday I went to Riga because I wanted to check out the sales over there. I spent the day in shopping centers and my conclusion is that the sales aren't much better than here in Estonia. The shoe stores are way better though! Unfortunately I didn't bring back any shoes because I've been unemployed for a few months and my bank account is looking rather sad at the moment but it's about to change soon and this is a completely different topic. Anyways one pair of shoes that I couldn't tear my eyes off of were black high heels that had little swarovski crystals on the heels - classy with a little twist. I didn't buy them because I already have a pair of black heels at home that I haven't even worn once. I love them but it just seems that there's never a suitable place to wear them. The other pair that I fell in love with was winter boots. They were flat, pretty tall and the inside was covered with soft fur and they looked so comfortable. I didn't even try them on because I knew I couldn't afford them at this point of time.
I didn't come home empty handed though. Partly thanks to Oasis which is one of my favorite stores to visit in Riga. I won't get into details with what I bought because I didn't get any outstanding pieces.
Driving back to Estonia took ages because there was a huge traffic jam thanks to the Positivus festival that was taking place last weekend.
I didn't take many pictures but here are a few of the few that I took.

Driving to Riga.

Belle wanted to come along too =)
Driving in the city.
I like this picture because it looks like it's taken on the street but actually we were driving .

If there's anyone who couldn't guess it - it's me in a shopping centre.
A stop at the beach.
And finally here's what I bought:

I'm Back

Hey!

It's been a long time but I think I might come back and start posting again.
There's really no reason behind why I stopped posting. I guess I got sort of bored and I had no clue if anyone was interested in my posts, so there wasn't really any motivation either.
So here goes my third (?) attempt at blogging.

Graduation

I wanted to share with you that yesterday was a really important day for me because I graduated from university.
The jacket and skirt that I'm wearing are made by mom and the design of them was a collaboration between me and her.

A DIY Idea

The pattern/print on this dress is really cool.
Plus it looks like it could be an easy and fun diy.

Braids

When I was little my mom used to braid my hair all the time. Mostly for practical reasons I guess.
Now, a bunch of years later, braids are in fashion (which I suppose everyone must know by now). They were all over the spring/summer 2010 fashions shows: Alexander Wang, Miu Miu, Bora Aksu, Dsquared2 etc. But intead of the runway pictures here's some hair inspiration from editorials to random girls with fabolous hair.

Mike & Chris Fall 2010

The lookbook for Mike & Chris Fall 2010 is... amazing. The pieces are simple, the color palette is dark, there aren't any items that stand out with a wow-factor yet it's perfect in its own way.
I love the laid-back rocker vibe that the collection has and I'm definitely left lusting after a couple of pieces now that I've seen the lookbook.
